It is thought that the apricot color comes from a mixed marriage between a pug and a corgi somewhere in my family history. I have been crated at night and most of the day before being turned in by my owner because of divorce, along with a pug boy named Jerry, also available for adoption.]]>
Hi! My name is Zoey, and I am a 6 month old brindle pug girl puppy. Brindle refers to my rare and exotic coloring. It is thought that brindle pugs were crossed with Boston Terriers at some point in their past, in case you are a genealogy buff! I am very cute and playful. In fact, I want to play ALL THE TIME with humans, dogs or toys because I like to act silly! I was handed in to Pug Rescue after being passed around from family member to family member, each of whom was unable to keep me for various reasons. I have had a confusing childhood so far. I will still need help with housebreaking because of this. I am also looking for a home with an active family because I am very enthusiastic and like to be busy. I am healthy - up to date on shots, am microchipped and spayed. I promise to bring many years of fun to my new family - and I hope that family is YOU!

I'm Freida a 7 yr old active fawn lady. My owner no longer wanted me and was going to take me to a shelter but a really nice lady talked her into giving me to her. She tried to find me a home but that didn't happen so she gave me to PROS. I'm spayed, up to date on my shots, heartworm negative and microchipped. I prefer to be in a home with not too many animals. I love to play with toys and would like to have a person who is home a lot as I really want to follow my human around. I know how to sit on command and am willing to learn more commands. I was named Twiggy due to the way I look. I was a stray and ended up in a shelter. The shelter estimated my age at 10 yrs old, I don't have many teeth and I'm blind. As you can see I wasn't well taken care of since I am so skinny, I was after Twiggy the very skinny model. I am in a nice foster home and have two pug foster brothers. I'll be going to the vet soon. Please keep good thoughts for me to get healthy again.
Update May 3: Twiggy just went to the vet and had her health check she has cataracts due to her diabetes. She is now on insulin twice a day to get her back to somewhat normal. She should put on some weight and this should also help with her urinary incontinence.

My name is Casper. I'm believed to be a brindle but I have so much hair loss it's hard to tell. The vet thinks that I am under a year old; I think my dad is Bryon who came in with me. I had a skin scaping and it was found that I have sarcoptic mange. I really, really want my foster mom to cuddle me and I want to play with the other dogs in my foster home! I can see them but can't get near them. Watch to see me improve with treatment. I need some donations to help with my treatment, can you chip in?

Hi! For some reason, they call me Roly Poly Teddy Bear. OK, I admit I might be a little bit pudgy. I was rescued from the Hollister Shelter, where I had been dumped in their drop box. When I arrived at Pug Rescue weighing a mere 29.6 lbs.!!!! they mentioned the word "diet" and I immediately thought of that Jared guy on the SUBWAY ads, and thought "I can DO this." Well, I have yet to see a sandwich, but I have lost 2 lbs. in 2 weeks! I am only about 5 years old, but I have difficulty walking because of my "baby fat"! I am a real sweetheart, and once I am a bit more svelte, I will be available for adoption, and promise to be a wonderful pet.
Update: Teddy Bear is now down to 24 lbs from 29.7. He may have 3-4 more pounds to lose and we can now see his legs!
