Hi I'm Barkley a 5 yr old neutered fawn fun loving male. My busy owners didn't have time to give me the attention I really want. I am up to date on my shots and have been heartworm tested. I am also microchipped. I'm a big boy but they say I do need to lose a little weight so I should be ready soon for my forever home. I really like to play what my foster home calls the zoomies otherwise known as pug races even if it's just me. I love my humans and other dogs. Did I say that I love to sit in your lap on the sofa and watch TV with you. I would love to be your companion, please consider me for your friend. I still have to have my medical checkup so I'll be ready soon.

Hi my name is Irving and I'm a 5-7 yr old neutered fawn male pug. I became a stray and ended up in a shelter. I had to have a hernia repaired and am getting treatment for foxtails that were between my toes. I get along with other dogs. I have a lot of energy so I'm going to need an active family. As you can see by my pictures I love to sleep with a furry friend. I'll soon be ready to go to my forever home.

 I know it's been a long time since you've heard from us, and as you might have guessed it OMAR'S BIRTHDAY! A little update: I can't remember if I told you and I'm so sorry that I didn't, Omar had surgery on December nothing big no worries. Omar had some bad plaque build up so we took him to the ASPCA and he had an in and out surgery with a few teeth removed. It went without a hitch he did better than I did I'll tell you that. It was the worst feeling in the world to have my lovies in surgery and I hope I'll never have to do it again. the Vet tough me how to brush his teeth properly and things are going well in that department.
in other news in March we celebrated our 3rd year anniversary with Omar. Just thinking back on those first days with Omar and how well he has adjusted with us. Our family wouldn't be a family without our Omar.
he's maintained a good steady weight and no other health problems have arose.
I've placed some photos of Omar I hope you like them.

Hi I'm Dodie and I'm as cute as can be. I'm an 11 week old fawn female whose owner couldn't afford the vet care for my left eye injury so I was taken in by PROS. I have no vision in that eye but I am receiving eye meds to keep me comfortable and to see if some of the cloudiness will clear up. The vet isn't sure yet if my eye may need to be removed. I still have to get the rest of my shots. I won't be available for a while so my eye can heal.

Update 7/10/10: Unfortunately I had to have my eye removed but I'm still cute and I have no problem getting around the house or the yard.

Hi, my name is Carmen. I am a 7 month old female fawn pug, I was born on December 1, 2009. I am a very sick little girl, I have Parvo. My owners surrendered me to PROS due to my illness, because they could not afford the medical bills. PROS wasted no time in getting me to their wonderful veterinarians and they are doing everything medically they can for me. I have to be kept in isolation and I am not eating so I have to be fed by syringe. PROS has incurred a large medical bill so far and I have a long way to go. Please pray for me to recover from this illness, I am a beautiful little girl and am looking forward to having the chance to grow and romp and love a family of my own. If you are able to help PROS by donating or contributing to my medical costs I would be deeply greatful as well as PROS for your compassion and kindness.

Hi! I'm Peaches a 3-5 yr old small fawn female. I got lost and ended up in a shelter. PROS came and picked me up along with Mario and Rollie. I had to have emergency surgery for pymetria (severe uterus infection) that was the only way to save my life. I am loving life now. When I'm recovered I will have a dental, palate trim and nasal surgery done so I will have better breathing. I love to be touched by my human and I will give kisses!

Hi, I'm Rollie! I am a 2 yr old neutered male fawn pug. I was abandoned and picked up by animal control where they took me to a shelter. I was surrendered to PROS, someone wanted me. I am a little bit insecure, but once I become comfortable in my surroundings and know that someone loves me I will be just fine. I am slightly under weight and when I was picked up I had demodeptic mange. I am currently being treated for the mange. I ride great in the car, and I am good with the other dogs in my foster home. I am learning that humans can be a wonderful source of fun and positive attention. I love playing with stuffed toys and my nylabone. I am very motivated by food rewards. I want to be part of the action in my foster home, and I am as sweet as they come. I am current on all of my vaccinations, I am micro-chipped, and my heart worm test was negative.
Rollie will be available for adoption once his medical clears.

Hi, I'm Milton. I am also called Uncle Milty. I am a 7 to 8 yr old neutered male fawn pug. I was found as a stray and taken to the Antioch shelter, where they took out a zillion fox tails from my fur. Hum, where had I been? Well no one came to claim me so I was surrendered to PROS, yes my saviors! I have limited eyesight and limited hearing but these small short comings do not detour me in any way, I get along just fine. I have no arthritis, hip or spine problems. Just due to my other problems with hearing and eyesight the vet determined that I was not well taken care of. I am a very happy boy, and I have a beautiful thick double coat of fur. I get along with all the other dogs in my foster home. My house training is being re-enforced and I'm glad to say I am doing better.
I am current on all of my vaccinations and I am micro-chipped. I am very excited to find my forever family who will pay attention to me, and give me mega bunches of love.
Milton will be available for adoption once his medical clears.

Hi, my name is Sammie! I am told that I am an 8 to 9 yr old spayed female fawn pug. The separation of my family forced my surrender to PROS. I was not spayed at the time of my surrender and we are aware of at least one litter of puppies that I have had. I was very lonely at first and I craved mega bunches of love and attention. My foster mom has been so good to me with affection, love, medical attention and just down right showing me that I was worth something. I love being part of a family, I get along great with dogs, cats and children. I just love being pampered, I am house-trained and I can use a dogie door. I ride very well in the car and I like to take walks and explore the surrounding sights. I am not much interested in playing with the other dogs or the toys, however I like to follow the other dogs around. My favorite past time is being as close as I can get to my human and even being part of your lap. I am extremely well behaved, I am very easy to handle and groom.
I am current on all of my vaccinations, I am micro-chipped and I was negative on my heart worm test.
Sammie would make a wonderful addition to any family, she is a beautiful little pug who has come through some tough adversities and has bounced back in the face of it.

Hi my name is Mo! I am an 8 to 9 yr. old fawn neutered male pug. I was surrendered by my family to PROS because they fell on hard times due to the economy and they could no longer take care of me. I am in great physical shape, I have narrow shoulders and a lean muscular structure to my frame. I get along good with other dogs, and just every now and again I will get an inclining to grab a toy to play with.
I have a lot of energy and I am very active for my age. I tend to gulp my food fast, and I am not delicate when taking a snack from your hand. My foster dad is working on that issue very hard so that I mind my manners when taking a treat. I also tend to jump up to be petted and my foster dad is also working on making me mind better and asking if I can come up. I am house trained, and I am current on all my vaccinations. I was negative on my heart worm test and I am micro-chipped. I love to follow you around and I am a virtual shadow.
Mo is a super great dog for an active family, but due to his energy level he would do best in a home with older children.
Mo has cleared his medical and is now available for adoption.
