It's
now been a month and a half since we adopted Trevor, our 4th rescue
dog! He's fitting in so well, it didn't take him long to realize
he was here to stay. We lost our pug Sammy on New Year's Day,
he was our 2nd rescue. His brother, Mr. Lucky, seemed really lonely
for months so we started looking at pugs and were matched up with
Trevor. It was love at first sight, he's the biggest pug we've
ever seen! He's just the funniest guy, loves barking at the apple
tree when it blows in the wind, his bones and pup-a-roni (not
too much, he's on a diet). We didn't think we'd be ready so soon
after Sammy passed, but Trevor has helped us heal and Mr. Lucky
really likes him. Thanks again for setting us up with a great
pug! Dan, Gary, Mr. Lucky, and Trevor

Three years ago I was rescued by Tucker! I was looking for a pug
and had signed up for PugPros and was called to check out "Sparky".
I was told that Sparky's tongue hung out to the side and I thought...hmmm....lets
go see him. Off I went and it was love at first sight. (and his
tongue is his signature and gives great character) As "Sparky"
was his rescue name I wanted Tucker to know that this was a new
beginning and he had found his Forever Home. So he was christened
Tucker Burk Reid. (Burk was my deceased mother's maiden name).
From the minute I loaded Tucker into my car he has been my best
pal. He and I go everywhere together and play often and walk 5
miles a day. He even gets to go to work with me where he has his
own office (bed on my desk). Tucker is happy and just the very
best pug in the world. He graciously lets me live with him and
as I often tell him, he is my sunshine man as he brings light,
joy and love to me every day! I think he knows just how very much
he is loved and cherished! So, when I say he rescued me it is
true for he has enriched my life in ways I never would have imagined.
Thank you for uniting Tuck-A-Boo and I!

Dear
PugPros, I can't believe a year has gone by since we adopted Sweet
Pea(march 07). It has been a wonderful year and Sweet Pea is a
perfect addition to our family. She is just the most perfect Pug
and even my husband would agree. She comes with us everywhere,
beach, parks, Yosemite to San Diego. She sleeps right in the middle
of our bed each night and we wouldn't want it any other way. My
daughter brought her to school for show and tell and all the kids
loved her. People all over have asked me where I got Sweet Pea
and can't believe such a nice looking dog like her was from a
rescue. I always tell them there are many wonderful Pugs at PugPros
that need a good home. She really has enriched our lives and always
makes us laugh. Sweet Pea's favorite day is run, play & fun at
Mill Valley dog park and then a good warm nap in the sun by her
favorite spot by the window. The kids LOVE her and we are so thankful
for finding her, plus having Pug Pros letting us be apart of her
world. Maybe soon it will be time to add another Pug to love to
our happy home. > A BIG thank you and much love, > The Turner's

Our first
experience with Pug Pros was amazing. On St. Patrick’s Day 2005
we came home with our “first born” Butter. Full name, Lucky “Butter”
O’Malley. He soon became my husband and my best buddy. We went
everywhere together, camping, road trips, beaches, you name it.
After a few years with Butter, we began thinking about getting
a sibling for Butter. We of course turned to Pug Pros who for
Christmas 2007, gave us Cheddar (Darwin). Full name, Silent “Cheddar”
McNight. Our pugs soon became the Dairy Brothers and quite well-known
within our town. Everywhere we go; it seems everyone knows our
pugs. They both run a pug group in our area and host pug parties
every month. They are getting along great and as you can see from
the pictures; their favorite pastime is cuddling on their big
red pillow. We can’t thank Pug Pros enough for giving us our boys.
We will forever be grateful for what your organization does. Thank
you

Hello there, my name is Sarah. I adopted a pug from PROS exactly
seven years ago today, February 2! I adopted Hank (used to be
Otis Oatmeal) in 2001 when I lived and went to school in Alameda,
CA. We have been inseparable ever since. He has been on so many
road trips, boat trips, hiking trips and beach trips with me.
I take him anywhere and everywhere I can. It has been such a joy
to have him and I feel like it was destiny that we found each
other. He is my best friend and the total love of my life and
has been for the past 7 years :) My family loves him and so does
my boyfriend. I tell everyone, 'To love me is to love my PUG!'
We have since moved to my home state of Florida where Hank loves
the weather and basking in the sun almost every day. We celebrate
his 'birthday' today, the anniversary of his adoption in a big
big way! I wanted to share my LONG TERM success story and let
you know that your organization is great and has changed my life,
Hank's life and so many other puggies and peoples' lives! Love
love love, Sarah S and HankDog

My name
is Jessica Springgay and my significant other (Jared Frantzich)
and I adopted Billy on Jan 21, 2007. I wanted to give you a few
updates. We celebrated a year since adopting him with a little
party - dog cake, party hats and all. I can't believe a year went
so quickly, but at the same time it feels as if he's always been
a part of the family, because he fits in so well. He and our little
girl, Charlie Bean, get along so well. We love him so, so much
and are so thankful to you and PROS for making such a perfect
match. The second update is that we have moved. We bought a house
just a few blocks away from the townhouse we were in, so we are
still walking distance to the river and park. The front yard also
has a little white fence, so they can play out front too (but
never unattended!). The house already came with dog doors Billy
and Charlie enjoying their new backyard and snoozing in the sun.

I wanted
to let you get an update on Manny formerly Rusty. We adopted him
in October and he was very skinny and not looking so good. What
sold us on him was his howl. I am happy to inform pugpros that
Manny is doing great, we love him. Manny is a delight and has
learned several new commands such as howling, high fives and a
great fetch dog. He and Bella are now always playing together.
Thank you for introducing us to him. Lou and Jennifer from Gilroy

We wanted to thank all of you for the wonderful work you do and
to give you an update on the on-going love story in our house.
Buckie has been with us for nearly three months now and what a
wonderful three months it’s been! Buckie has really blossomed
in the last month. He is so well mannered, funny and extremely
affectionate and loving. He loves going to the dog park every
weekend and taking naps in the sun. He has enriched our lives
and makes us laugh. So, thank you again for making this addition

Mr.
T is doing great, we actually ended up changing his name to Bruce
since he wasn't responding to Mr. T and Rebecca had said he didn't
really seem to know his name but he definitely does now! I now
know why "Pug People" are so crazy about their dogs! Both Nic
and I say we feel bad when we see our parent's dogs because they
just aren't as great as Bruce. We have been taking him to the
park across the street almost every night and he seems to enjoy
that because usually there are other dogs there for him to play
with. He had his first seizure since we have had him last night
and it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, in fact it only
lasted about 10 seconds. We called the vet immediately and they
said that he should be fine and would probably just be pretty
tired for the rest of the night...which he was. This morning though
he seemed completely his old self. He LOVES to go on walks so
I am really enjoying that! It almost feels like he is walking
me sometimes! I am completely in love with my new child! He is
the best thing that has ever happened to me, thank you again so
much! I hope that one day soon we will be able to meet up at Pug
Sunday or another Pug event. Bruce is going to be Batman for Halloween
so I will send you the pictures once we take them. Hope to talk
to you soon! Lauren
Mr. T is absolutely the most wonderful dog in the entireworld
as far as I'm concerned! He has not had any seizures and I am
going to make an appointment for the vet in San Ramon for early
next week. He is just wonderful and I want to thank you so much
from the bottom of my heart fro bringing him into our lives! I
was wondering if there are any activities coming up that we could
take him to, I am sure he would love to be around some other Pugs!
He has the best personality and is always making us laugh, I can't
tell you how much I look forward to seeing him everyday! We have
taken some new photos of him and once I get them uploaded onto
the computer I will send them to you. Hopefully we will get the
chance to meet at some point, again I want to say thank you! Lauren

hello. I adopted Roy last Sept (2006) and i just wanted to give
an update on my little guy. He's doing so well!!! It took him
until November to start getting excited and running through the
house. I took a trip in Colorado in January for 4 days and when
i came back, he wagged his tail for the FIRST TIME!!!! He enjoys
laying out on the back deck, hanging out at work with the other
dogs, dinner time, walking (slowly) on the beach and sleeping
in in the morning. This summer, we took a 2 month vacation with
my 2 other dogs to Alaska! Roy had tons of fun walking on the
beach, riding on the boat, and exploring the forests. When we
came back in August, Roy celebrated his 16th birthday! yay roy!
Here are 3 pictures of him to add to your happy endings section!!!
Thanks again for my friend! *Katelyn Smith*, Snood, Phoenix and

Dear Pug Pros, Just wanted to let you know Brody is doing great!
He is very loved and knows it.We can't imagine our home without
him. From the first day,he acted as though he always belonged to
us. Everyday he goes to drop the kids off @ school. We then go
to Starbucks, then for our walk down& around the courthouse. We
try to go to PETCO as much as possible. It is one of his favorite
places. The girls there love & adore him. When I am at work he
has the run of the house..(.Can you believe No accidents!.).He
can hear my truck a mile away . He goes crazy, howling & crying
with excitment! I have to say he follows me everywhere I go,just
like one of the kids. He even has his own My Space , if you want
to check it out it's (Brodydapug). We tell everyone Rescue is
the way to go! Here are a couple of pictures of him with his dad,and
with the kids. We want to Thank Jan,John&, Dorana, also The volunteer
who came to our house. Thank-You again Pug Pros, The Jennelle-Harrison

Murray, Vampug
Dear PugPROS, We have now had "Murray" in our family for a little
over one year. He is our second adoption from PugPROS and our
third Pug. You knew "Murray" as "Brett" (his screen name). Murray
was six when we adopted him. He was a friendly boy but a little
skittish with other people and it took a good several months for
us to notice him really settling in to his new family. To this
day, he still barks madly at anyone on a bicycle and he still
follows me around the house wherever I go, but I admit that I
truly love this about him, and it's led to some "just us" routines
during our day. For instance, Murray "helps" me when I make the
3 breakfasts each morning. He accompanies me into the laundry
room where I keep the kibble, spins around once, then opens his
mouth wide like a baby bird for his one "secret" kibble. When
I shower, he waits for me on the bathroom rug. He sleeps with
my husband and me each night, at times "spooning" with his best
buddy and brother, Mac. He's our other beloved PugPROS adoptee.
Mimi has always slept in her crate at night, or I'm sure all 3
of them would be up on the bed with us, snoring and purring through
the night. Aahh, the music of a sleeping pack of pugs. The other
thing Murray does is ADORE his stuffed squirrel toy. It's getting
a bit raggedy now, with all the love it's gotten, but replace
it? No way. All we have to do is ask Murray, "Where's Baby?" and
he searches the house until he finds it, and he sleeps with Baby
in his mouth. Thank you for Murray. He's kind of a turkey, but
we love him dearly. Love, Paula V.

Sally
now maintains a busy social life in Sacramento, when her human
is not at work. She likes camping, pool parties, riding in the
car, going to the vet (shout out to Abel Pet Clinic!), assisting
with the laundry, schmoozing at Starbucks, and supervising the
activities of Austin the Pekingese. When her human is at work,
Sally snoozes on one of her many beds. Life is good!

Hi All,
I just wanted to thank you for finding me a wonderful home.
My new mom is the best. She says all the time I am the joy and
sunshine in her life. But really it is the other way around. She
has me spoiled rotten, but I deserve it. I make sure I am always
on my best behavior so she can reward me with treats, kisses and
hugs. I hear her talking about me being blind in one eye???? I'm
not sure about that, I can see just fine but she is always putting
stuff in my eyes, every night before I go to sleep and again when
I wake up. That stuff makes my eyes feel better, so I guess maybe
she knows what she is talking about. We took a trip on an airplane.
I believe we went to FL., that's where I met my brother Rocky.
It was fun to see him, he is a nice big brother, but I am glad
to have mom to myself. She says I did wonderful on such a long
trip. I did not bark or whine once. I got some good sleep, nothing
like being nestled in a warm place with my mom at my side. Well,
I just want to say thanks again, and I hope all my buddies at
PugPros and foster homes all over have someone looking out for
their best interest as you did with me.
Meeyah (formerly Christie)
P.S. Tell Pixie I said hi!

We wanted you all to know that she is the love of our lives. It
was as if she were meant to be part of our family, and we are
so grateful to Pug Pros for giving us the opportunity to adopt
this adorable loving little girl. Each day she surprises us with
something new, a new expression, a new way to play with her toys,
deciding to pick on the cat, you name it Laci keeps us so entertained.
Laci has also become very attached to our Cocker, Meisha. They
both follow me around, everywhere. I have absolutely no privacy,
but I do love them being with me every moment. Alex and I will
continue to keep you up to date as time passes, so you will be
able to see just what a wonderful job you do, not only for these
beautiful little dogs but also for the families that love them.
Indebted Always,

Dear Gena and Louise
We just wanted to let you Know how Mr. Max is doing. We have
had him for almost two months now and he has won our hearts over.
Although I think it was love at first sight when we saw him at
Louise's house that day. We want to thank both of you for letting
us have him. It met a lot to us. He is getting us both in shape
because he loves to go for walks in the neighborhood and at various
parks in the area. He also likes going for rides in the car. He
gives kisses to everyone he meets and he loves to play ball in
the house with me (Bruce) but then we get in trouble with Mom
(Sharon) when we get a little to excited.....He seems to have
made the adjustment to his new house and family but I think he
still sometimes misses you Louise and the pugs. He is very protective
of us and the house and every morning when we go for our walk
he stands at the top of the drive way and surveys his domain.
We don't have the heart to tell him that the hole block doesn't
all belong to him!!!! Everyone who meets him thinks he is very
special. Our vet in Grass Valley thinks we have been very lucky
to have adopted two very special pugs (Emmy and Max). He has had
no more accidents in the house and has learned to let us know
when he needs to go out. We will send some pictures of Max when
we get them. Gina, Sharon says that if you come across another
sweet little girl pug like Ms. Emmy to please let her know. Because
she thinks that Max has become daddy's little boy and she would
like a mom's little girl. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Wow! Another great experience with Pug PROS & Camp Four Paws.
We are so lucky to be the happy home for both Romeo (Jake) and
Jack (Pugsby). You both are so great to us. The first day with
Jack and he already is part of the family. We went out to pizza
when we got home and our 2 year old nephew named him Jack Jack.
Barring Olly's attacks, the transition has been relatively smooth.
Today was our local pug sunday and Romeo & Jack were big hits!
Thanks to both of you again and again! Best wishes, Michelle &
Greg & Olly (begrudgingly)

My husband Randy, and I would like to thank everyone at PugPros
for making it possible for us to adopt our beloved Tuxedo. We
are so happy to have him as part of our family. Very special thanks
to Jan, for her kind assistance throughout the adoption process.
Tuxedo seemed at home immediately. He has adopted Randy as his
very best friend and favorite lap, and Toby our golden retriever
is his new buddy.
Tux likes going on walks, car rides, barking at “Animal Planet”
episodes and trips to our favorite dog park, Fuji Park. Thank
you PugPros for all you do for this very lovable breed.

to matching the right pug with the right family. Mr. Jinx joined

It is if Laci has always lived here, my dogs and cats accepted
her with no problem. In fact my blonde cocker and Laci play all
the time. There is no fighting over the toys, Meisha the blonde
cocker doesn't have a problem at all with Laci taking her "Woobies".
In fact after Laci has slobbered all over her "Woobies" she won't
even touch them until they dry!! So funny.
Laci is well aware of the Pond, she was inquisitive the first
night, and I kept telling her no, you don't go over there. Now
when we go out in back for her to do her business, she looks at
the pond and goes the other way. She is so smart!!!!
Alex has fallen for Laci big time!! And Laci for him, she follows
me all over, but night time comes and it's him she wants to sleep
by. First night Alex said no dogs on the bed, he got in bed, Laci
jumped right next to him laid her head on his shoulder and the
rest is history!!
We are so happy that we adopted Laci, we know we made the right
decision when we picked Laci, she is a luvabug, and is so well
behaved and mannered. The rest of my family has come by to see
her, and thinks she is the cats meow. Will keep you updated on
her progress.
We have a vet appt. for her next week, just so my vet can review
her records and get to know her. Keep in touch, and anytime anyone
wants to come see her that is fine with us.
Always, Kate

Dear PROS, We just wanted to write and tell you how glad we
are to have Kiwi. He is such a doll! He loves everything from
playing ball in the yard to sleeping (and snoring) next to you.
He is a very happy, healthy pug. He adores everyone he meets,
human, dog, or cat, and immediately tries to tackle them with
kisses. Kiwi is a smart boy who has already learned to use the
doggy door. He loves going on walks to the park and the lake.
We are so fortunate to have him!
Thank You, Carlos, Laura, Katie, Kelly, and Kiwi Martinez

We thought you might appreciate an update on Gunter (now Wallace).
We met with [the foster parents] at a dog park near Vallejo on
Memorial Day and decided to take him home right then and there.
He has been an absolute dreamboat ever since; it's hard to imagine
anyone relinquishing him in the first place. He is VERY mellow
for a two year old and extremely sweet and gentle. He loves his
baths, his walks and just spending time with our entire family.
We want to thank you and Pug Pros for making this wonderful
match and pass along our compliments to Maryann, our home inspector,
and to Rudy and Ruthe, Wally's foster parents. All of the volunteers
were so caring and helpful; they made the entire process smooth
and comfortable. We are looking forward to spending many years
with Wallace--he's a keeper!
With sincere thanks,
The Jaques Family

Hi Pug Pros,
Here is a picture of the little elderly lady that we rescued
in June of 2005 named Jin-Jin and the other rescue that we did
through PugPros in Feb 2003. Jin-Jin has had some really bad medical
problems, but we wouldn’t trade her for the world. Just because
some of the "needy" pugs are older and in need of medical attention
does not mean that they don’t deserve a loving home. I love the
help that you give to these loving Pugs, each and everyone of
them is very special in their own way. This is the second rescue
we have done though PUGPROS, and once again we want to thank you
for everything.

I am just writing with an update on Tucker. He is having a
blast with our pug Vito. The two are little mischevious imps and
love to wrestle together, race around the house, and try to break
into the dog food cabinet. They love to share carseats and crates
(even though they have their own) and sleep on top of each other.
Tucker has resolved his potty training issues (he hated using
the doggy door when it was raining-a little prima donna!) and
now we're working on not climbing up on the coffee table-what
a little monkey. He has become so affectionate. He used to be
a bit standoffish, but now he is first in line for kisses and
hugs and will climb right into our laps. We're having so much
fun with him! Thank you so much for bringing him to my attention!
I've attatched some pictures that show how happy he is and one
that is just cute! In the pictures with the two dogs, Vito is
on the left and Tucker is on the right.

I just wanted to let you know how wonderfully Milo is settling
into our family. He, Gus, and Tank (PugPros Alumni) meshed immediately.
It's like they were always the 3 Amigos. It's funny, Gus the boss-pug,
treats Milo like a venerated grandfather. He lets Milo sleep next
to him and even lets Milo lick out his food bowl (something Tank
is NEVER allowed to do). Milo seems content and comfortable. He
has learned our walkie schedule and keeps up with the big boys
without a problem. Breakfast and dinner times are exciting with
3 twirling dervishes excitedly dancing for food. We all love our
infestation of pugs! I've attached some photos. Rebecca, I finally
broke down and bought some costumes. Can you tell my husband is
just off camera with treats?

Dear Pugpros,
We want to let you know that our sweet BRADY has adjusted
well to our family. He is just a LOVE! It must have been terribly
heart-breaking for his family to give him up. But we are so grateful
that they did. Thank you so much for letting us adopt him. His
silly smile is so endearing to everyone we meet on our walks.
His new pug sister Beebee has lots of fun showing him around and
letting him know that although she loves him very much, she is
the boss! Bless all the volunteers that do the work necessary
to bring these lovely pets to new homes. You are very special
people.
Thanks again, Laurel, Gordon, Beebee and Brady

Hello Pug Pros,
I would like to sincerely thank you for giving Jeremy and
I our beautiful baby Piggy (previously Twiggy). Piggy has brought
so much to our lives. She is loving, sensitive and very protective.
Her favorite pastime is giving kisses and walks. She loves to
take long walks with me in the evening and sniff every bush and
tree in her path. Due to her perfect disposition she is known
throughout the neighborhood and children regularly stop by our
home to play with Piggy.
I cannot thank you enough for the gift you have given us.
We can't imagine our lives without her little mug plopped right
down between Jeremy and I. I have enclosed a picture of our little
angel.
with much appreciation, Desirree and Jeremy

We just wanted to share with you the Dogster
page we made for Spanky (who we now call Sophie and she's
taken to it wonderfully). As soon as we get a full familiy photo
(4 adults, 4 dogs and 2 cats) we'll send it along! Thanks again
for all that you do for Pugs and the people they own!

Dear
PROS,
The Sazo Family in Alameda would like to let you know we adopted
Nani which is know Martini in December 2004. She is doing so well.
She is now potty trained and has learned to follow our household
rules. She is very happy and loves to play with all dogs. Our
14 year old Pug Pugsley doesn't always want to be with her but
they are adapting. She has been a wonderful addition to our family.
We have an eight year old and a five year old. We go on wallks
every three hours. Our house is along the lagoon and Martini loves
chasing the ducks into the water.
We want to thank Pug PROS and especially Jan Grover for allowing
us to take Martini formerly Nani home with us. We always recommend
PROS and we are looking forward to adopting another Pug in the
future.
Love, Julio, Lena, Maria and Julian Sazo

Dear PROS,
We
adopted Mikey from PROS in September of 2001. I was amazed by
how quickly he bonded to us (especially me). He follows me everywhere.
He loves to be loved. Mikey is not quite the standard, Mikey is
not quite the smartest, but everyday he makes me laugh. He snorts
like a pig, sheds like a buffalo, snores like old man, dribbles
water everywhere and barks at nothing. We love him! I remember
when our house was inspected by a PROS volunteer. She laughed
when saw that most of our house had white carpeting. Mikey has
changed our lives as well as our house, we had to have 900 square
feet of carpeting replaced with pergo because of him but we were
and are ok with that . . . in fact we want more pugs! We always
take Mikey and our other dog, Steve on vacations with us. (Mikey
loves the beach) He is such a people pug. He even has a website
devoted to him (rce.csuchico.edu/Tricia/). We are hooked . . .
we will always have rescue pugs.
Thank you PROS and all the PROS volunteers, the service you
provide has enhanced the lives of so many pugs and their people.
[At right] is a photo (taken last spring) of Mikey (age unknown)
and Steve (14)
Sincerely, The Daniels Family (Tricia, Lance, Steve, and
of course Mikey)

Dear PROS,
I want to let you know that Grace, the girl pug who was pregnant
and PROS rescued from Sacramento City Pound in Nov 2000 is now
living in up state New York. My daughter was living in San Francisco
when she adopted Grace. She moved back home in Nov of 2002, bringing
Grace with her. She got very busy with a new job and long hours
at work and I was pug sitting with Grace a lot. She then decided
to give me ownership in the best interest of Grace. I work the
evening shift and my husband is home in the evenings. There is
always someone home with her.
Grace is a wonderful joy in our lives. She is very much a
part of the family including aunts, uncles and grandma. We all
love her. My daughter visits with Grace often. My daughter gave
me a copy of her story THE STATE OF Grace from your newsletter
that was written about her. I want to thank PROS and everyone
involved, Dr. Byam, Susan and Thomas Wollwert, and the person
who wrote the article and all the others who helped with Grace's
rescue. Gracie (what we call her) is very loved and cared for.
Thank you again, Betty John Geneva, NY

I just want to let you know that two of the pugs
you had up for adoption back in 2001 have brought me much joy
and happiness. Lizzy and Tucker brother and sister have settled
in, really settled in. They own the house the yard the park and
me!
We have had some ups and downs. Let's just say our local vet and
us are on a first named basis.
When the pups arrived they were very over weight but with low
cal food and daily walks they are trim. They are mischief makers
and keep all of us on our toes.
Thank you for the work you do. I have passed on the name of your
organization to many people.
Sincerely, Cathy Lorda

Molly seems so happy and comfortable at our house.
She loves our kids and all the others on the cul-de-sac. She's
even getting to know the dogs, too.
She thinks I'm her everything and follows me relentlessly around
the house... even into the bathroom. She has adjusted well to
sleeping in her kennel in our room...snoring within seconds.
We love her to pieces and are moved how she has brought an already
close family, together even more.
Fondly, Shelly Hughes

Hi Sandy, I hope your summer has been a good one. I am just
sending a few lines to let you know that Augi and I are doing
well, staying out of the heat, he is still the delight of my life
and my constant companion he is such a little sweetie. My life
has not been the same since adding this charming little guy to
my household. Thank you for being his foster Mom and allowing
me to adopt him. Forever grateful.

Thanks, Nadine, I just wanted to let you know
Izzy is doing great. She and Oscar (Heidi's Cat) are getting along
really well -- they both sleep with me every night. She is such
a joy, I can't imagine life without her. Thanks again for doing
such a great job matching us up. She has already brought me so
much laughter, joy and love in just a few weeks!
Sincerely, Heidi Haaland

Hi Sandy, its Gigi and Gomez's mom, Michele.
Sorry we have been out of touch but we had a very hectic summer.
We moved across the street and Gigi and Gomez love their new house
and especially the yard. We had a scare with Gigi last weekend.
She was in the hospital for three days, developed pancriatitis.
Apparently from something she ate but good as new though, and
so happy to be home. The vets think she is only about 1 and a
half years old. She is the sweetest little girl in the world.
We feel so lucky to have gotten her and the people who dumped
her off at the shelter didnt know what they were giving up. By
the way, she is an expert swimmer, jumps in the pool on her own
when we are in it to join us. She is very very attached to me
and my daughter Natalie. Gomez has even given up and lets her
rule the roost. Their favorite pastime is playing tug of war with
my bathrobe belt. Needless to say it is no longer used as a belt
by me. I've referred two of my friends, one a family from el dorado
hills to you for adoption. They already have a pug named "jarhead"
who they adore and wanted a playmate.
Fondly, Michele Sarkisian
Note: Jarhead now has a new sister, former rescue
pug Mindy, who is renamed Julia after Julia Roberts because of
her beautiful smile!.

Chyna is doing really well. First night was
a piece of cake. She went to bed (under the covers) with Noah
at around 9:00. She hasn't had a single accident!! and pottys
outside really well. She attached to Noah very quickly (probably
b/c he held her the entire first day we had her, fed her, walked
her, and went to sleep with her). She drives in the car (on his
lap) to drop him at school and has cried briefly both mornings
when he gets out of the car (she did the same when you walked
away from our car Sunday). He just loves her. I've brought her
along to pick him up in the afternoons too. She sits on his lap
while he reads and does his homework, stands up against the tub
while he showers, stands on the bathroom counter while he brushes
his teeth, etc. Sound familiar? While he's in school, she tags
around with Mikayla, tries intermittently to climb in our laps
while we work, barks at the neighbors dog now and again, dozes
at my feet, steals pens to chew up, noses around under our desks
and generally makes a nuisance of herself. She is very easy to
forgive--just one look at that face!
She is a wonderful, funny, smart, loving little dog and puts a
smile on the face of anyone who encounters her.

Thank you and "PROS" for Sammy. We
could not have asked for a better addition to our household. From
the time we picked him up, he has been a "Buddy" to
the whole family. He follows us everywhere. He lays on the couch
with us, jumps up on the bed and shares it quietly all night.
All this dog wants is love and companionship. Plenty of it!!!!.
It amazes me that this dog ever could have been given up by a
family, and reached "PROS." He is so special. We have
only begun our love for this fellow.
PROS gave us much allowing us to adopt "Sammy,"
and making him part of our family.
Thank you again, The Liskewicz Family

A belated thank you for "checking us out"
and allowing us to adopt Mary Christmas the end of last January.
Mary was renamed Mulan and goes by Molly. She has now been with
us eight months and I can't imagine not having her around. Molly
and Ling-Ling get along famously (after a few alpha reminders
to Ling-Ling from me that she is NOT the alpha of our pack). When
Molly came to us she had to be bribed with wet food to eat. Now
her breakfast and dinner dishes are emptied faster than Ling-Ling's.
Mol was initially very quiet but has shown us that she does have
the sweetest personality--and does she love to talk! When she
catches on that we are going for a W-A-L-K, she starts talking
and will
not stop until we are on our way. It is so much fun to watch her
while on our walks as her feet barely thouch the ground--she is
just such a happy girl. Sharing my life with two Pugs is such
a joy!
Thanks again, Ling-Ling and Donna Ireland

I just thought I would write a BIG Thank you, to you and
everyone at PROS. The job you guys do for these Pugs is very special,
and now that our family has adopted "Bubba," I can see
all the hard work that goes into taking care of them, before they
get adopted. I will send Pros pictures of Bubba and his new family
soon. He is an absolute doll. My daughter says it best,.... he
is just like a big teddy bear. And Thank You once again. Well
Best Wishes to Everyone
