Happy Endings - Yoda

What a wonderful addition Yoda is to our family. We can not believe he has been with us for a week. He is settling in quite nicely...helping himself to the couch, grabbing tissue from the trash, etc., all the things you do when you are comfortable in your surroundings. So we take these tricks as a good sign. Wrigley seems to tolerate Yoda's presence but doesn't interact unless we are rumbling with Yoda and then she trys to quash the fun. She has shown some signs of jealousy but overall Wrigley is fine. The kids adore Yoda as he is much more attentive than Wrigley. He follows me everywhere, which I enjoy. We bought Yoda a nest but he seems to prefer the floor or Drew's bed. We are quite proud of his physical improvement. The first few days Yoda was absolutely exhausted. Between running in the back yard and taking multiple walks, the poor boy was tired. Many times he would just sit down in the middle of the street and we would have to carry him home. Maybe he was a little sore, who knows. But now, he does the full loop with Bo and Wrigley in the evening and is often times in the lead. We are convinced that he was fed table scraps as he likes to jump up when we are sitting down at the table; as such, he is not too keen on dog food. So, we spice his food up with carrots or apples and he eats in the same time as Wrigley. We are soooo happy to have Yoda. I can not tell you what a pleasure it is to have a non-alpha around the house. Between the humans and the black pug, there are too many of us in charge! Last time I weighed Yoda, he had dropped a pound and was down to 26 pounds. He is looking good. I am so glad you emailed to inquire. I wanted to let you and Candice know that Yoda is very content and a part of the Boxold clan.

Take care, Melinda Boxold
