Through the efforts of PROS, it's volunteers and foster homes, the following Pugs have found their forever homes. Congratulations to the new families and these wonderful Pugs!Julia Rossi adopted Juice
Kristen Moore adopted Mason
Steve Elgin and Jason Visperas adopted Buddy
We learned of Pros Pug Rescue back in December 2012 through Facebook. As we looked at all of the available pugs for adoption and already having 2 pugs since puppies, currently, both are 4 years old and are brother and sister. We decided to go to the adoption event in Roseville in February, though there were several beautiful and gorgeous available pugs for adoption; we didn't feel the right connection. The next day, we had gone to the adoption event in Concord, as we walked in we saw Buddy, instantly we felt the connection and fell in love with him. Buddy is now home with his new brother Keoni and sister Malia. They are best "Buds" and are having so much fun being together. Buddy enjoys when we all go for a walk and everyone who pets Buddy can't believe how sweet and gentle he is. We are so proud Buddy loves the attention. Thank you Pros Pug Rescue because without you, we would not have been able to meet and fall in love with our wonderful Buddy.
On a separate note: Thank you Angela Perez for being Buddy's foster mom and taking good care of him. Thank you Jan Grover for always keeping us updated with Buddy's progress while in foster care. We appreciate all you have done.
Sincerely,
Jason Visperas & Steve Elgin
Pearl was adopted by sisters Kim & Cassandra Knox
Wanted to give you an update on and share pics with you of Sofia Violet (AKA Pearl). She is doing wonderful! She has brought so much joy, fun and laughter into our family. Everyone who meets her ABSOLUTLEY loves her! She has such a personality, and what a smart little lady she is. My sister and I cannot imagine our lives without her. She goes to Day Care on Wednesdays (which is great since she is the only dog in our house, so she can play with her brethren), and they love to see her coming!! She is a true blessing to us - thank you for the connection.
She loves these pink cookie treats we pick up from the pet store.
Dolly was adopted by Chris Potter
Well we are a month into Dolly's adoption and I just want you to know that I couldn't be happier. She is the sweetest little pug! She loves everyone, has not problem with other dogs or cats, she is like a
puppy in a way, cause she is so aware of every day things like sirens, bikes, cars, planes... it is all new to this perfect little dog! She has adapted to our routine with no problem, and I have to say, I just LOVE her SO much! I have continued with her glucosamine and her legs are getting steady each and everyday. She loves going outside and spreading her "Dolly Dust" (pee). I LOVE this dog... thank you so much! She loves people as well, and when someone stops to pet her, I say this is Dolly, and they always say, she is so adorable, I can see
why you call her Dolly! Thanks Jan, for all your hard work!

Murphy was adopted by Allen and Kathleen Hooper
Peggy Sue and Mona Lisa have been adopted by their foster family
Sissy was adopted by Liz Margerum
Sometimes you just see a dog and know it is meant to be. Sissy (formerly known as Roxy) came from a home where she was left in the backyard alone for 8 years. No words can describe how lovable and sweet Sissy is. Really she is a big buterball of love. She may be mostly blind and deaf but she knows exactly where everything is. (Even the stuff she is supposed to stay out of.) She loves running circles around the couch and coffee table when she feels so inclined. We call it "the loop," its her version of the puggy tear. She loves to be upside down in your lap. It is the best position for belly rubs, and smiles with all three extra chins. If you stop petting her she gives you her bark of disapproval.
It only took her a week to figure out that sleeping under the covers is far superior than sleeping on top of them. Now she burrows in with her brother Gus and I at bedtime. She loves being an indoor dog with a family and a warm lap to lounge upon and she never has to be locked out in the back yard alone again. Gus her brother is a little less excited he has to share his human. But he'll come around. Thanks to all the PROS people who helped get Sissy to us. She brightens our life.
Hi PROS!
Thank you so much for helping us find the perfect new addition to our family! Butters, formerly Mogley, has been a joy to our lives and has brightened our home in just the short week he's been with us. He's the
sweetest little boy we ever could have wished for--he LOVES to snuggle, and follows us around wherever we go. Not to brag, but he's gotten quite attached to his new Mommy, but loves his new Daddy almost
just as much. He's great company as well, he stays at home with me most of the time and spends it by snuggling up on the couch or in his bed. He also wanted to show PROS a picture of him with his new parents
(a family portrait is coming up soon), and a quick shot of him pooped out in his bed after a long day.
Thanks again PROS!
Love,
Kai, Trent, and Butters the Pug
Shea was adopted by Greg Schwartz. This is his second PROS pug.
Carol Dreher adopted Faith

I just wanted you to know how well Zino is doing. From the minute he arrived, he's made himself right at home; it's as if he's always been here. He and my other pug Betty are getting along beautifully, and she is thrilled to have a new playmate to chase around the house and backyard. We are so happy he's here!

Kathy Bok and Bob Pickel fostered and are adopting Hercules. This is their 3rd PROS pug.

Mandy was adopted by Lindsey & Damian Baker.
Posey was adopted by David & Vicki Scott
We adopted Posey on December 1, 2012. She is such a sweet little girl and we love her! Posey has started her basic obedience school and is learning to be a real country girl. As with all pugs, she loves food, treats, warm laps, taking walks, and snuggling. Posey has filled our hearts and home, and helped us to recover from the loss of our beloved pug, Ping Li, who passed over the rainbow bridge two years ago due to a progressive spinal disease. We are so thankful for her foster mom, Kelli, who loved and nurtured Posey while she was waiting for her forever home. When Posey visited Santa, she wished for TREATS! Thank you PROS for keeping her safe until we found each other!

Lance Daniels adopted Simba
On 8/21/12 PROS Pug Rescue came to the rescue of half of a litter of black pug puppies. The breeder contacted us to take in four 3 mo old black puppies, three females and one male. Troy Lee from Camp Four Paws was contacted to see if she could foster these puppies. She drove up to the Sacramento area and met the owner to get the puppies and at that time found out there was actually a litter of 8 that were born outside in triple digit weather. Four of the puppies didn't survive as both the mother and father and the puppies were kept outside.
Updated photo: Look at these beauties, recovering well!
Update: All puppies have recovered and been adopted!
