Here is a pic of our two pugs, both of which we rescued over the last 10 months, Homer and Ripley. We just rescued Ripley 3 weeks ago.

I know it's been a long time since you've heard from us, and as you might have guessed it OMAR'S BIRTHDAY! A little update: I can't remember if I told you and I'm so sorry that I didn't, Omar had surgery on December nothing big no worries. Omar had some bad plaque build up so we took him to the ASPCA and he had an in and out surgery with a few teeth removed. It went without a hitch he did better than I did I'll tell you that. It was the worst feeling in the world to have my lovies in surgery and I hope I'll never have to do it again. the Vet tough me how to brush his teeth properly and things are going well in that department.
in other news in March we celebrated our 3rd year anniversary with Omar. Just thinking back on those first days with Omar and how well he has adjusted with us. Our family wouldn't be a family without our Omar.
he's maintained a good steady weight and no other health problems have arose.
I've placed some photos of Omar I hope you like them.
I hope all is well on your side and that your doggies are doing good too.
with love, Omar, Maritza and Brady
I just wanted to write and say that Zack is doing great. I am so lucky to have this little dude in my life. I like to tell people that we rescued each other. We both came from trauma...he lost his Mom and I had recently just lost my previous dog.
Thank you, Pug Pros for what you do to help these amazing dogs. And a big thank you to Laurie, Zack's foster mom. She helped Zack and his brother, Bentley, get in healthy shape!
Zack is a real gentleman and cuddle bug. He is also is a good listener and I tell him he is an "amazing" guard dog although he would never hurt a flea. He sleeps by my side and we really enjoy our daily morning walks together. People will often ask me if he gets to sit on the sofa and I say, "of course! He's a Pug!"
We hope that Bentley, Zack's brother is doing well. Zack sends a big hug to him and is glad he, too, found a forever home.
Best,
Ruth+Zack.
I just wanted to say another huge thank you for matching me and Squish
(formerly Dusty, aka. Squash). It has been just over six months with him and
we are totally in love. Squish has certainly settled into his normal routine
of several walks a day - he used to be afraid of walking on grass - and now
loves romping through it with neighbor dogs. On weekends we always take him
with us when we go to the barn; Squish has an older, larger, four-legged,
equine brother, Creggan. They touch noses and say their hellos! Squish loves
his hikes up in La Honda where my horse is.
When we first got Squish he was a happy little pup and remains so, the first
month we had him he was a little lethargic and still thin from being rescued
(if you are familiar with Squish you know he went through a LOT!). My vet
advised that I keep him under 15lbs because of his arthritis - but he is not
skinny, he is svelte! I get compliments all the time about what a nice
looking pug he is.
Last week Squish was diagnosed with epilepsy, luckily his seizures are so
infrequent that he is able to stay off medication so that his liver remains
healthy. He is totally off other medications and is supplemented with
natural joint supplements that are working fantastically for his arthritis.
The epilepsy may attribute to his deafness as well. Being deaf hasn't slowed
him down at all, he learned the signal for sit - thanks to his foster moms
and their pugs, he isn't startled by anything, AND he doesn't bark at
anything!
We love our little pug, and will forever. He is silly and his favorite
things to do are, of course eating, rough-housing with his stuffed moose,
going on long adventures, dining out at Amigos Grille in Ladera, and
cuddling on the sofa with the cashmere blanket my mom hand made (he has
claimed it as his own). Again thank you for this wonderful little soul; our
little Squishward.
Kind Regards,
Christina and Stefan

Carson is doing great! (I have to admit, we've been calling him "Noodle".) He's a really sweet little guy--very smart. He did great when we brought him home, though his tummy was a little upset. He's been great around our cat. We've got a set routine during the week. He goes to work with me. Everyone who meets him loves him.
I took him to my vet a couple of weeks ago and we set up a plan to combat his allergies and keep his bladder healthy. He's eating better than me! In addition to the fish oil you recommended, he gets coconut oil, cranberry extract, and probiotics added to his meals. We've been bathing him every week with Zymox shampoo. It was recommended by the vet. It not only smells really good, but it has enzymes that combat yeast and skin microbes.
We go out for walks twice a day, everyday. Unfortunately, the weather has made walking difficult. This stubborn puggie would rather stand in the pouring rain than actually get the walk over with!! I think he's finally realizing that it has to be done and the sooner we get it over with, the sooner we get indoors and dry!
The picture I took as part of a project I was participating in to help rescued dogs. It's called "The Flat Puglet Project." You can check it out at: www.flatpuglet.com
As you can see, I can go on and on. This little guy is settling in great. We just love him! Everyday, he does something new and wonderful. Thanks again for taking such great care of this sweet little boy. Feel free to email/call anytime!
Take care, Jennifer
She moved in as if she had always belonged here. Her only disappointment is that her sister gets to be "alpha". She has compensated, however...she plays the "cuteness" card for all it's worth! It didn't take long for her to figure that this family was right up her alley- going on hikes at the river, coffee and biscotti on Sundays, camping, and trips in the car for interesting treats. She claimed her spot in bed at night and guards it with her life. She sings soprano in the nightly snoring chorus.
I want to thank PROS for letting us have this wonderful little girl- I would say all 12 pounds of her but I think she's gained weight...(all those lattes and biscotti....)- she has become the light of our lives.

Tom and I would like to send our heartfelt appreciation to you and your phenomenal organization for the wonderful addition to our family, little Miss Brittany! We are over the moon with this precious puppy of a pug, and feel thrilled and blessed to start a new adventure with her.
Thank you to each of you for making all of this possible -- and in such an expedited fashion, too! Right from our first meeting with you at the adoption fair, we were tremendously impressed with every aspect of your organization -- from the wonderful volunteers to the little ones, who rely on its volunteers to be advocates for them. We were especially touched by Jill H., who took time from her very busy schedule to come to our home on a Friday night. Her professionalism was amazing, and her expression of condolences for out late, beloved CoCo Chanel blew us away.
And Sanjuana, Foster Mom to Brittany, what a wonderful woman! You could tell that Brittany was loved and well taken care of by her, because the darling pug had a sparkle in her eye and an extra spring in her step. I will always cherish the memory of Sanjauna's comment about saving Brittany through PROS: "We do it for Love!" God Bless her and ALL the volunteers.
The moment we saw Brittany, it was love at first sight. We are thankful that Crash, our pug could meet her. The first night we brought her home Brittany was so comfortable and very loving, She slept on our bed like she had been there before. NO Accidents. She is so well behaved. And she and Crash get along!
Thank you PROS! We are members for life. We are learning that rescuing a pug in need is so rewarding, and feel so lucky to be the ones to provide a forever home to this little angel.
Sincerely,
Tom & Anita
We wanted you to know that little Tobias is doing really well! Our older pug Bailey is enjoying his new little brother so much. We are grateful to have Tobias as a member of our family and wanted to thank you for bringing his sweet little spirit into our lives. He LOVES to give kisses and play. He is incredibly smart... and training has been a piece of cake. We look forward to having him with us for many years to come. He will certainly make life more fun and memorable! :D
Much love to the PROS!
Gina and Michael Burdette
Everything is going great. I'm not allergic to Zinn. All I had was a coincidental head cold combined with the terror of making a huge commitment to sharing my life and my bed with a little stranger. Every day we are less strange to one another. Her personality is revealing itself -- she's got a real stubborn streak. I was determined that she could sleep on my bed, but not under the covers and not right up in my face. Forgetaboutit. She just bulldozes her way under, then plasters herself right up against me, and that's that. Zinn doesn't hear well I don't think; she doesn't bark when someone comes to the door. Then when the visitor actually enters, she still doesn't bark, but she's very warm and cordial to all visitors. She just loves attention from any and everyone who will bestow it on her. She's a good eater, but not crazed and obsessive about food (like my previous pug, Bubba). She's just sweetness itself. We enjoy our daily walks and car rides, and we are preparing to take our first long car trip together to L.A. and Las Vegas over the Christmas holiday to visit friends. I'm attaching a couple of cute pictures of her -- one is taken on the cushion that is next to my desk, which is where she likes to lie when I'm at my computer, and the other where she's draped across the back of the sofa (she likes to be high up where she can observe the whole room). You are responsible for all this wonderfulness. I probably wouldn't have pursued the project if you hadn't encouraged and supported me so well. Thank you and Merry Christmas, Kathy and Zinn
We are happy to have Homer as a new member of our family. He has been with us for about 2 months now. His days are filled with walks, car rides, and trips to the horse barn. He's still not sure exactly what a horse is, but he is getting used to them. He is busy guarding his new home and his new family. We are thankful to have him. Dean, Lissa, Cooper and Cara Sivara.
It's now been 3 months since we adopted Sunny, our 5th rescue pug. We lost Mr. Lucky suddenly in June and Trevor became lonely, he needed a friend. She is quite a feisty little girl! In a good way. She's the youngest pug we've had in a while and has really brought energy to the house. As soon as she got here she made herself right at home, on our laps and on the couch. She really loves her toys and hanging with her new big brother. It feels like she's been here all along. That's Sunny on the left and Trevor on the right. Thanks for another great pug! Dan, Gary, and Trevor
There is so much of Tink to love! Her energy has amazed our whole family. She loves to snuggle on the couch but it's clear the kitchen is her favorite room in the house. Her first bath was so much fun with her brothers, Beans and Mick. Beans and Tink get into a kissing frenzy a few times a day, then she lets him know when it's her time for tummy rubs. Tink loves going for rides in the car, walks and today was very special with a trip to the dog park. Our new girl is a joy, joy, joy!! Tink is taking notes on her favorite TV show, "The Biggest Loser", and when she downsizes to her ideal weight we will send in a new photo. A perfect Happy Ending for Tink and our whole family. Kim & Craig Buckhout
Hello, It has been almost a year from when we brought Owen home and it feels like he has been a part of our home forever. From the day we drove off with him, and he just laid his head on my lap and fell asleep, I knew he was one of us! He is so sweet and loving and follows me everywhere. My 6 year old daughter just loves him to death. He even sleeps under the covers with us at night, and spends the day snoring, sunning and playing chase with our other dog. I want to Thank you for what you all do for the pugs and for bringning him into our lives. And thank you Troy for taking great care of him before he became ours:) We will be back for our next pug once we are ready:)
Thank you so much for all you do! Jennifer Voorhees
Thank you for letting him be a part of my life! :) Kelley McAdon
To Molly Maloney (Keau's foster mom)- It has been several years since I spoke with you. You changed the life of my pug. Her name was Keau (Hawaiin Kay). I named her "Molly" in honor of you. I have attached a photo of her for your pleasure. She is the one furthest to the right with her head up. Anyway, we love her so much. She is the best dog, and every day I think about where she might be if I had not applied at Pug Rescue and you had not contacted me to let us know you had her. She had been abused when we got her. After several months I gained her trust. She sleeps on my pillow every night, snoring away. She is happy, healthy and just a love. Thank you for all you did and continue doing to help animals. Warmest Regards, Jason Krane
Hello All - I wanted to give you an update on Ivy (formerly Bonnie). Ivy was one of six puppies found at Animal Control in San Francisco. She has a very strong personality and likes to take on things head first; but has developed into a very sweet cuddly sweetheart and she absolutely adores our six year old son Kenny. She keeps our older six year old pug, Benito, on his toes and he's more fit because of her. We spend a lot of time on long walks; she is a natural digger goes completely wild happy running at the beach or in a sandbox. Valerie Wagner and Tim Wong

I just wanted to let you know that Amigo is doing well in Sacramento. The attached photo was taken after an hour at the dog park that is in our condo complex. He is such a charming fellow and he's made quite a few friends here. In fact, there is a cute "older lady", a blind manchester terrier, that has taken quite a fancy to Amigo. The play, circle around each other, nipping at ears. It is so cute. Amigo loves his monthly grooming at Petco. My daughter considers him a "metrosexual" guy that enjoys the shampoo and conditioning treatments, the smell-good stuff that makes him strut out of the shop and thru the parking lot. He really is a kick. He spent a week in Fresno with my two daughters while I traveled to Washington DC. They discovered that he likes to settle down in the evening with the lights off, candles lit, and his bed next to the TV (this is really true). He does it at home, too. He was happy to be with them for the week and they missed him very much after he left. His hip still gives him problems but I found a wonderful vet at Abel Pet Clinic where he has been seen to get refills on his anti-inflammatory meds. The clinic was listed on the rescue site and I will highly recommend them to any pug owners. I am so fortunate to have adopted him. Thanks! Penny Renaud

A follow up to let you know how well I'm doing. This is a picture of me sunning myself. In the winter around 10:00 AM the sun comes in at just the right angle on the sofa. I am a true sun worshiper! I now live on 5 acres and love to bark at the deer. My name used to be Mr. Bogangles but now I'm Arlo. Thank you PROS for all the good work you do! Fondly, Martha Jones and Arlo

Thank you Pug PROS!!

Brandon and I are having a love fest. He is a really great dog and we have gotten used to each other and our "set in" ways:)...At the moment he is asleep in the sun(or was before the doorbell rang). He is wonderful at night, quiet , calm and cozy..He prefers a small down comforter instead of a blanket ...Oh my! He is gobbling his kibble and looks forward to his treats of a little yogurt, a carrot stick or some sweet potato. We go for a long walk in the morning . He sets the pace, so I get a good work-out too. I leave him for about half an hour in the morning or afternoon to shop and get him used to my comings and goings. He is an amazing escape artist. I have gates up which he can knock down no matter how heavily they are braced..He is able to push open the heavy swinging door into the dining room, so at the moment, there is no way to keep him from getting the run of the house. I will get permanent gates. I have hesitated to crate him.... He doesn't bark immediately when I leave, but I do hear him on my return. He sounds very mild compared to the two screaming yappers next door. Starting in March we will have a series of obedience lessons from Mike Wombacher, a super duper trainer. I am reading his book now so that I will have a head start on the procedures. Brandon is such a dear little dog and so loving and easy to care for..I doubt that there will be any problems as far a training goes. He has started playing with me..I get on all fours and pounce at him and he tears around like a maniac and then pounces back. I am getting lots of exercise. We send our love....Brandon and Margaret ..woofwoof
Poppy is SO adorable & so smart and so soft, she's doing very well we think. They play like there's no tomorrow, and we think maybe Cork is being too strong on occasion but then she comes back for more and pounds on him. Who's play'n who? It feels like she's been with us from the start and she's adapting so well. She's sleeping with us and potty training is pretty good so far. It's a go when you feel kinda thing, whether inside or not, and not much unlike my mothers pugs in the past. They are just stubborn, so you bring them out and wait. She will then smell the ground and go (we give praise and cookies then). If she has to go that is. And that is the million dollar question, does she have to go or not and is she conscious of it? We've only had 2 mistakes. Well, actually 3 but one was on the way outside on her own, so we give her credit for being in that direction. A few times Cork goes and she observes and goes too. The point is, she is GREAT and so thank you very much. Here's a few pics! Thanks so much again and we'll hear from you soon, Whit & Michiko
Just a quick note to let you know that Angel is doing beautifully In adjusting to her new home. First night was a piece of cake, she slept with my daughter (yes, IN her bed not at the end :). Right now she is lying on my feet at the computer. It is weird how the universe works; she fit in so easily it is like she was just meant to be here. Our whole family and Elvis of course, just love her! She is like our Mollie in some ways. My daughter and I started a walking and weight plan for her today. Goal is to make the weight loss not too hard on her, maybe two pounds a month to be at 25 lbs in 6 months. Thank you so much for fostering so we could find her! Catherine Davis
Einstein came into my life a few years ago and he was very standoffish, unaffectionate and insecure. I am very happy to say that he is now a delightful, happy boy who loves to chase his toys up and down the stairs and will put up with my hugs/kisses if I throw his toy for him afterwards! Another highlight in his life is to walk with his pack, the two dogs across the street. The three of them keep a tight rein on what goes on in their neighborhood! Einstein is the light in my life and I am very grateful to Pug Pros for sending him to me. I have attached a picture of him looking serious as I might have been 5 or so minutes late with his dinner. He thought he had trained me a little better than that... Love, Yvonne

Good Morning Gena - Just wanted to drop a line and let you know that Gidget is doing great. Oskar is warming up to her and she actually barked yesterday (we thought that she couldn't because of her breathing issues -- and we had never heard her bark!). She has adjusted so well and is such a love! We will keep up with PROS and can't say thank you enough for what the organization is doing for needy animals -- If we had more space and time we would take them all in! We have some harnesses that we will send out to you and also a dog bed if you need it (Gidget has migrated from the foot of the bed up to the pillows - and we have beds all over the house that she uses so we can send you the one that she came with... ) Thank you, thank you, thank you! Hello! Rocky and Buster Sue have been part of our lives for the last year. It took them a bit of time to adjust to their new surroundings, but they have come to love their new home. They each have their own unique personalities, and it's been great getting to know them for this past year. Our girls are senior dogs, and we are so happy to give them a good retirement home. Here is a picture of Rocky (and her favorite toy) and Buster Sue in their new home. Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to have these good girls in our lives! Cameron and Debbie
We love Jimmy so much. He has become part of the family. He is doing really good. We are very proud of him. At first when we had company, he would go outside, now he will stay in the same room. He doesn't go to anyone, but he doesn't leave either. That is a huge improvement. He does so many things now. He has gotten protective of his house and he barks and howls when someone comes in. It is very cute. One day Missy and I were in the front yard watering. When we came in the house I noticed Jimmy had been in the window watching us. I felt so bad like I was being mean to him. I apologized to him and told him that would never happen again (I know he didn't understand), but now the 3 of us go in the front yard and he stays in the yard, he doesn't run. I feel very good about that. He comes to me sometimes. Me more than my husband. I spend more time with them and I feed them. We go for walks almost every night. Jimmy is very happy when he is on a walk. That is definitly his favorite thing to do. When I come home from work he comes to me very excited to see me. He has really come along. You are welcome to come and see him sometime, if you would like. I hope in another couple months he will be like a regular dog. He is a good eater. I have to pick up any food Missy doesn't eat because Jimmy will eat it and he has gained a couple pounds. I am being very careful about his intake now. Missy picks on him some and he just takes it. I am on Missy alot to leave him alone. He understands that and appreciates it. He looks at me with those big eyes like thank you. He does play with her alot. They do really good, there has never been an angry moment between them. Jimmy just jumped on my lap right now as I typing this to get away from Missy. She has become quite the brat. He is actually very protective of Missy on the walks. On 3 separate occassions a small barking dog has come up to Missy and Jimmy gets in the middle of them. The first time we thought we just imagined it, but the next two times we know he is protecting her. Other than that, he still does not want contact with other dogs. We are very happy with him and he is very happy. We love Jimmy and he loves us.

Three years ago I was rescued by Tucker! I was looking for a pug and had signed up for PugPros and was called to check out "Sparky". I was told that Sparky's tongue hung out to the side and I thought...hmmm....lets go see him. Off I went and it was love at first sight. (and his tongue is his signature and gives great character) As "Sparky" was his rescue name I wanted Tucker to know that this was a new beginning and he had found his Forever Home. So he was christened Tucker Burk Reid. (Burk was my deceased mother's maiden name). From the minute I loaded Tucker into my car he has been my best pal. He and I go everywhere together and play often and walk 5 miles a day. He even gets to go to work with me where he has his own office (bed on my desk). Tucker is happy and just the very best pug in the world. He graciously lets me live with him and as I often tell him, he is my sunshine man as he brings light, joy and love to me every day! I think he knows just how very much he is loved and cherished! So, when I say he rescued me it is true for he has enriched my life in ways I never would have imagined. Thank you for uniting Tuck-A-Boo and I!

Ozzy and Amy/Coco are Pug PROS Alumni, Willis was our first acquired as a puppy. Thought I would let you know they are all doing great.... Peter and Amy Jenkins
Dear PugPros, I can't believe a year has gone by since we adopted Sweet Pea (March 07). It has been a wonderful year and Sweet Pea is a perfect addition to our family. She is just the most perfect Pug and even my husband would agree. She comes with us everywhere, beach, parks, Yosemite to San Diego. She sleeps right in the middle of our bed each night and we wouldn't want it any other way. My daughter brought her to school for show and tell and all the kids loved her. People all over have asked me where I got Sweet Pea and can't believe such a nice looking dog like her was from a rescue. I always tell them there are many wonderful Pugs at PugPros that need a good home. She really has enriched our lives and always makes us laugh. Sweet Pea's favorite day is run, play & fun at Mill Valley dog park and then a good warm nap in the sun by her favorite spot by the window. The kids LOVE her and we are so thankful for finding her, plus having Pug Pros letting us be apart of her world. Maybe soon it will be time to add another Pug to love to our happy home. > A BIG thank you and much love, The Turners
Our first experience with Pug PROS was amazing. On St. Patrick's Day 2005 we came home with our "first born" Butter. Full name, Lucky "Butter" O'Malley. He soon became my husband and my best buddy. We went everywhere together, camping, road trips, beaches, you name it. After a few years with Butter, we began thinking about getting a sibling for Butter. We of course turned to Pug Pros who for Christmas 2007, gave us Cheddar (Darwin). Full name, Silent "Cheddar" McNight. Our pugs soon became the Dairy Brothers and quite well-known within our town. Everywhere we go; it seems everyone knows our pugs. They both run a pug group in our area and host pug parties every month. They are getting along great and as you can see from the pictures; their favorite pastime is cuddling on their big red pillow. We can't thank Pug Pros enough for giving us our boys. We will forever be grateful for what your organization does. Thank you.
Love love love, Sarah S and HankDog
I wanted to let you get an update on Manny formerly Rusty. We adopted him in October and he was very skinny and not looking so good. What sold us on him was his howl. I am happy to inform pugpros that Manny is doing great, we love him. Manny is a delight and has learned several new commands such as howling, high fives and a great fetch dog. He and Bella are now always playing together. Thank you for introducing us to him. Lou and Jennifer from Gilroy
I just wanted to thank you for finding me a wonderful home. My new mom is the best. She says all the time I am the joy and sunshine in her life. But really it is the other way around. She has me spoiled rotten, but I deserve it. I make sure I am always on my best behavior so she can reward me with treats, kisses and hugs. I hear her talking about me being blind in one eye???? I'm not sure about that, I can see just fine but she is always putting stuff in my eyes, every night before I go to sleep and again when I wake up. That stuff makes my eyes feel better, so I guess maybe she knows what she is talking about. We took a trip on an airplane. I believe we went to FL., that's where I met my brother Rocky. It was fun to see him, he is a nice big brother, but I am glad to have mom to myself. She says I did wonderful on such a long trip. I did not bark or whine once. I got some good sleep, nothing like being nestled in a warm place with my mom at my side. Well, I just want to say thanks again, and I hope all my buddies at PugPros and foster homes all over have someone looking out for their best interest as you did with me.
Meeyah (formerly Christie)
P.S. Tell Pixie I said hi!

We wanted to thank all of you for the wonderful work you do and to give you an update on the on-going love story in our house. Buckie has been with us for nearly three months now and what a wonderful three months it's been! Buckie has really blossomed in the last month. He is so well mannered, funny and extremely affectionate and loving. He loves going to the dog park every weekend and taking naps in the sun. He has enriched our lives and makes us laugh. So, thank you again for making this addition to our family and lives possible. We love our dog!! Kerry Meech & Steve Rottmayer

Dear Pug Pros, Just wanted to let you know Brody is doing great! He is very loved and knows it.We can't imagine our home without him. From the first day,he acted as though he always belonged to us. Everyday he goes to drop the kids off @ school. We then go to Starbucks, then for our walk down& around the courthouse. We try to go to PETCO as much as possible. It is one of his favorite places. The girls there love & adore him. When I am at work he has the run of the house..(.Can you believe No accidents!.).He can hear my truck a mile away . He goes crazy, howling & crying with excitment! I have to say he follows me everywhere I go,just like one of the kids. He even has his own My Space , if you want to check it out it's (Brodydapug). We tell everyone Rescue is the way to go! Here are a couple of pictures of him with his dad,and with the kids. We want to Thank Jan,John&, Dorana, also The volunteer who came to our house. Thank-You again Pug Pros, The Jennelle-Harrison family

I adopted Roy last Sept (2006) and i just wanted to give an update on my little guy. He's doing so well!!! It took him until November to start getting excited and running through the house. I took a trip in Colorado in January for 4 days and when i came back, he wagged his tail for the FIRST TIME!!!! He enjoys laying out on the back deck, hanging out at work with the other dogs, dinner time, walking (slowly) on the beach and sleeping in in the morning. This summer, we took a 2 month vacation with my 2 other dogs to Alaska! Roy had tons of fun walking on the beach, riding on the boat, and exploring the forests. When we came back in August, Roy celebrated his 16th birthday! yay roy! Here are 3 pictures of him to add to your happy endings section!!! Thanks again for my friend! *Katelyn Smith*, Snood, Phoenix and Roy
Murray, Vampug
Dear PugPROS, We have now had "Murray" in our family for a little over one year. He is our second adoption from PugPROS and our third Pug. You knew "Murray" as "Brett" (his screen name). Murray was six when we adopted him. He was a friendly boy but a little skittish with other people and it took a good several months for us to notice him really settling in to his new family. To this day, he still barks madly at anyone on a bicycle and he still follows me around the house wherever I go, but I admit that I truly love this about him, and it's led to some "just us" routines during our day. For instance, Murray "helps" me when I make the 3 breakfasts each morning. He accompanies me into the laundry room where I keep the kibble, spins around once, then opens his mouth wide like a baby bird for his one "secret" kibble. When I shower, he waits for me on the bathroom rug. He sleeps with my husband and me each night, at times "spooning" with his best buddy and brother, Mac. He's our other beloved PugPROS adoptee. Mimi has always slept in her crate at night, or I'm sure all 3 of them would be up on the bed with us, snoring and purring through the night. Aahh, the music of a sleeping pack of pugs.
The other thing Murray does is ADORE his stuffed squirrel toy. It's getting a bit raggedy now, with all the love it's gotten, but replace it? No way. All we have to do is ask Murray, "Where's Baby?" and he searches the house until he finds it, and he sleeps with Baby in his mouth. Thank you for Murray. He's kind of a turkey, but we love him dearly.

Dear Gena and Louise,We just wanted to let you Know how Mr. Max is doing. We have had him for almost two months now and he has won our hearts over. Although I think it was love at first sight when we saw him at Louise's house that day. We want to thank both of you for letting us have him. It met a lot to us. He is getting us both in shape because he loves to go for walks in the neighborhood and at various parks in the area. He also likes going for rides in the car. He gives kisses to everyone he meets and he loves to play ball in the house with me (Bruce) but then we get in trouble with Mom (Sharon) when we get a little to excited.....He seems to have made the adjustment to his new house and family but I think he still sometimes misses you Louise and the pugs. He is very protective of us and the house and every morning when we go for our walk he stands at the top of the drive way and surveys his domain. We don't have the heart to tell him that the hole block doesn't all belong to him!!!! Everyone who meets him thinks he is very special. Our vet in Grass Valley thinks we have been very lucky to have adopted two very special pugs (Emmy and Max). He has had no more accidents in the house and has learned to let us know when he needs to go out. We will send some pictures of Max when we get them. Gina, Sharon says that if you come across another sweet little girl pug like Ms. Emmy to please let her know. Because she thinks that Max has become daddy's little boy and she would like a mom's little girl. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
Sharon, Bruce and Max
Tux likes going on walks, car rides, bark at "Animal Planet" episodes and trips to our favorite dog park, Fuji Park. Thank you PugPros for all you do for this very lovable breed.

Mr. T is absolutely the most wonderful dog in the entireworld as far as I'm concerned! He has not had any seizures and I am going to make an appointment for the vet in San Ramon for early next week. He is just wonderful and I want to thank you so much from the bottom of my heart fro bringing him into our lives! I was wondering if there are any activities coming up that we could take him to, I am sure he would love to be around some other Pugs! He has the best personality and is always making us laugh, I can't tell you how much I look forward to seeing him everyday! We have taken some new photos of him and once I get them uploaded onto the computer I will send them to you. Hopefully we will get the chance to meet at some point, again I want to say thank you! Lauren
I wanted to thank you for your services and for your dedication to matching the right pug with the right family. Mr. Jinx joined our family in May and he is a perfect fit. As you can see from the picture, he (the Fawn) and Bella (the Black Pug) are the best of friends! Mr. Jinx has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives, and Bella is a much happier dog with his company. Thank you for saving him and for allowing us to love him.

Laci is well aware of the Pond, she was inquisitive the first night, and I kept telling her no, you don't go over there. Now when we go out in back for her to do her business, she looks at the pond and goes the other way. She is so smart!!!!
Alex has fallen for Laci big time!! And Laci for him, she follows me all over, but night time comes and it's him she wants to sleep by. First night Alex said no dogs on the bed, he got in bed, Laci jumped right next to him laid her head on his shoulder and the rest is history!!
We are so happy that we adopted Laci, we know we made the right decision when we picked Laci, she is a luvabug, and is so well behaved and mannered. The rest of my family has come by to see her, and thinks she is the cats meow. Will keep you updated on her progress.
We have a vet appt. for her next week, just so my vet can review her records and get to know her. Keep in touch, and anytime anyone wants to come see her that is fine with us.
Always, Kate
